We’ve come a long way

2008

In the midst of completing the construction work to get the new lobby café open, we managed to present the LA premiere of AR Gurney’s new play, Post Mortem. The place is all ours since West Coast moved to a space in Hollywood!

2007

We began extensive remodeling of the Los Angeles facility, while subletting for a season to West Coast Ensemble, after Company of Angels moved downtown.

2006

Our first show in the new space was a revival of Square One.

2005

We took our show on the road to California, and bought the Lyric Hyperion Theater. Our resident company tenant was Company of Angels.

2003

We took True West and the Zoo Story on our sixth dual tour of all our usual haunts in Europe as well as a tour of several towns in western Washington State in the USA.

2002

The September 11, 2001 attacks did not stop our special kind of international outreach. By popular demand, we returned to Germany, Ireland, and France with a new production of True West, visiting a number of new venues.

2001

Our first tour of The Zoo Story by Edward Albee toured our usual venues in Germany and Ireland, and added three weekends in Paris, where we played to sold–out houses and broke some box office records in the Spring.

WINTER 2000

Speed–the–Plow by David Mamet played more than 35 times in 20 cities in Germany and Ireland.

MARCH 1999

The first tour was a resounding success, and a few months later, Insight's True West by Sam Shepard did 24 shows for sellout crowds in 10 cities across Germany.

FALL 1998

From our first home base of Seattle, Insight took Square One by Steve Tesich on a three–week tour of seven German cities for 18 performances.
