BOARD CHAIR

Thomas Opitz is one of the movie industry’s most sought-after hairstylists. On TV, he styled Hank Azaria, Blythe Danner and Angelica Huston in Huff and Holly Hunter in Saving Grace, among many others, and won an Emmy for the Tracy Uhlman Show. His many films include Drowning Mona with Bette Midler and Danny Devito; Panic (William Macy, Donald Sutherland); Red Dragon (Anthony Hopkins); Intolerable Cruelty (George Clooney, Catherine Zeta-Jones); Brothers Solomon (Lee Majors); and recently, The Lodger. He also serves as Insight’s Head of Wardrobe, Makeup & Hair Design.

MEMBER

Stephanie Dunnam  toured the U.S. in Wendy Wasserstein's The Heidi Chronicles and The Sisters Rosensweig. Favorites are School for Scandal, The Man Who Came to Dinner, and One Flea Spare, as well as Holiday for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Lady's Not for Burning at Chicago's Court Theatre, The Importance of Being Earnest and Misalliance at Dallas Theater Center and Lost Highway for both the Mark Taper in Los Angeles and San Diego’s Old Globe. On TV, she sat shiva on Frasier and raised a retarded daughter on Judging Amy, and was the gynecologist on E.R. and a deaf artist on Magnum P.I. She killed her husband on Murder, She Wrote, bore Mistral's Daughter as Stacy Keach’s mistress, lost her man to Sela Ward on Emerald Point N.A.S., and carried the Carringtons’ baby as their surrogate mother on Dynasty. 

 

MANAGING ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Alan Becker holds a BFA degree from New York University's professional theatre program at the Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting and Circle-in-the-Square Theatre School. He studied directing with such luminaries as Bartlett Sher, Joseph Chaikin and Robert Moss. In New York, Mr. Becker's favorite roles were Emil in Anne Bogart's Bessie Award-winning South Pacific and Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream. As a member of the NY Drama Project he created roles in plays acclaimed in the Samuel French New Plays Festival. He has had film roles with actors such as Lynn Redgrave, and has worked at the Seattle Rep, Children's Theatre, Annex Theatre, and on many other stages in his home town Seattle. He has taken six tours of Europe for Insight.

SECRETARY-TREASURER

Kristine Angelino is a writer who has completed several scripts for television and film. She has also served at the Lyric Hyperion as House and Box Office Manager and is a founding member of the Lyric Hyperion Writers Workout, in which she is currently working on a new play that we hope to premiere in 2010.

COMPANY DIRECTOR

DJ Hamilton teaches theatre to high-schoolers in Mexico City. As a writer, his produced plays include: Ramon Reymundo; The Witch; The Girl, the Gifts & the Dead Man; and Rose Mary, That's for Remembrance. He won Best in Fest at the New York International Fringe Festival for directing Krapp's Last Tape. He toured for years in Canada, Mexico and the U.S. as one of the juggling clowns The Bosconi Brothers. He was the founder and long-time Artistic Director of Insight’s former partner company, Theater Babylon.

MEMBER

Matt Slinger played Peter in Insight’s 2001 tour of Zoo Story and Lee in the 2003 tour of True West. He has appeared in the Seattle area in well-known stage roles ranging from Speed in Shakespeare’s The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Iachomo in Cymbeline and Feste in 12th Night to Valmont in Les Liaisons Dangereuses. He played the drag queen Medea in All About Medea, and has appeared in other new works such as The Incredible Undersea Trial of Joseph P. Lawnboy, which toured the Seattle area teaching schoolkids about water quality.
